Humanitarian education today in the world …

What are the best projects? Where are the best practices? What are the theories and debates of yesterday and today? What are the economic models at work and what is their performance? How do we think today of initial and professional training in globalization?

So what is education?

Education broadly refers to the form of learning where skills, wisdom, rituals and habits of the people are shared and handed down from generation to generation via teaching, training and research. Often education occurs under the tutelage of other people however at times it is also likely to be autodidactic.

Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Educational methods include storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, and directed research.

We can call an experience educational if it has a formative impact on the thought process or a person or if it influences the actions and feelings of the person. Education is often segregated into various stages like preschool, primary school, followed by secondary school. It then further progresses to include collegesuniversities, and apprenticeship as well.

Many governments recognize the right to education. Globally, Article 13 of the UN’s 1966 International Covenant on EconomicSocial and Cultural Rights identifies the right for all the people to attain education. Despite the fact that education is mandatory in majority of the nations up to a specific age, attending school is not compulsory and hence a small segment of parents opt for home schooling, e-learning and other such ventures.
